Service 01

Website Design & Development

A fast site where every page is built to make the phone ring.

01 Fit Check

Who this is for.

  • HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies whose current site loads slow and books nothing
  • Roofers and restoration contractors running ads into a homepage that wasn't built to convert
  • Fencing, concrete, and hardscape companies quoting big-ticket jobs off a template site that looks like everyone else's
  • Established trades that outgrew the site a friend built in 2019

02 Scope

What you get.

  • Custom static site designed and built for your trade, not adapted from a generic template
  • A dedicated page for every service you sell, each structured as its own landing page
  • City and service-area pages for every market you actually work
  • Click-to-call buttons and a quote form a homeowner can finish in under 30 seconds
  • Call tracking and form tracking wired in from day one
  • Sub-second load times that pass Core Web Vitals on a phone in a driveway
  • Local business schema markup so Google understands who you are and where you work
  • You own the domain, the hosting, and every line of the site

Flat project fee for the build, with an optional flat monthly plan for hosting, edits, and new pages as your service area grows.

03 Process

How it rolls out.

  1. Step 01

    Blueprint

We map every service you sell and every city you serve. That list becomes the site architecture before anyone touches a design tool.

  2. Step 02

    Build

We write the copy, shoot or source real job photos where possible, and build static pages that load in under a second.

  3. Step 03

    Wire the tracking

Call tracking numbers, form notifications, and analytics go in before launch. If we can't measure it, we don't ship it.

  4. Step 04

    Launch and tune

We launch, watch real visitor behavior for 30 days, and tighten the pages that get traffic but not calls.

Why trade websites need a different playbook

Most contractor sites are built by designers who have never priced a job. They open with a slogan, bury the phone number, and load like a wet bag of concrete on the 4G connection a homeowner is using from her driveway while the AC is out.

We build the opposite. Every page on a Rivet site is a landing page: someone who searches “water heater replacement Brandon” lands on a page about water heater replacement in Brandon, with your number at the top, proof you do this work, and a form that takes 30 seconds. No brochure pages. No stock photos of models in hard hats.

Speed is not cosmetic. Google ranks fast sites higher, and Google Ads charges fast sites less — page experience feeds your Quality Score, and Quality Score moves your cost per click. Our static builds have no page builder, no plugin stack, nothing to bloat or get hacked. They load in under a second and stay that way.

The result is a site that works as the foundation for everything else: SEO pages that rank, ad campaigns that convert cheaper, and a Google Business Profile that links to real service pages instead of a homepage that says “Welcome.”

Fair questions

How long does a build take?

Most trade sites launch in 4 to 6 weeks. The variable is content: if you have job photos and can spend an hour on the phone with us about your services, we move fast. Sites with 15+ service-area pages run closer to 8 weeks.

Do I actually own the site?

Yes. Domain, hosting account, code, content — all in your name. If you leave Rivet, the site goes with you and keeps working. We think agencies that hold sites hostage are running the same racket as the lead resellers.

Will the new site help my Google Ads?

That's half the point. Page speed and relevance feed your Quality Score, and Quality Score sets what you pay per click. A fast page built around one service in one city routinely cuts cost per lead versus sending ads to a slow homepage.

What happens to my current site and rankings?

We map every existing page that gets traffic and redirect it properly, so you keep the rankings you've earned. Done right, most trades see rankings improve within 60 days of launch because the new pages are faster and more relevant.
